STUDENT VIEW
"I enjoyed studying International English,
because it was extremely helpful with
achieving good results for my
assignments and improving my language.
Tutors were very friendly and I felt
very welcome to the University. It was
a good time during which I have made
friends for the rest of my life."

INTERNATIONAL ENGLISH STUDIES
BA (HONS)
International English Studies (IES) is a three-year BA
degree programme, specially designed for students for
whom English is not a first or main language, and who
wish to complete a degree in their chosen subject with
integrated English skills support. It can be taken as a Joint
(50%), Minor (25%) or International (25%) Route subject
with many of our undergraduate degree courses.
Students taking the International Route can study IES for
25% of their time from Year Two, but are able to
graduate with a Single Honours (International Route) in
their combining subject.
