Non-standard entry for mature applicants
We have an alternative entry procedure for mature applicants who do
not hold the formal qualifications outlined in the course information
pages but who do have relevant skills, experience and subject
knowledge. This involves completing assignments related to the subject
area. Mature applicants should still apply through UCAS for all full-time
undergraduate programmes included in this prospectus.
Students applying for non-standard entry to courses in initial teacher
training and social work must still have a minimum of GCSE/O Level
grade C or above (or other NCTL recognised equivalent) in English
Language, Mathematics and, for Primary Education, Science.
Candidates seeking further information on non-standard entry
procedures should contact the Admissions Office.
International qualifications
Qualifications gained outside the UK may be accepted for entry to our
courses, provided that the qualifications are considered to be
equivalent to the admissions criteria outlined on the course information
sheets. The University uses the UK National Academic Recognition
Information Centre (NARIC) as a guide.
Non-native speakers of English will be required to provide evidence of
English language proficiency. This is normally evidenced through an
exam such as International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
For further information contact our Admissions Office.
International applicants should apply via UCAS for full-time
undergraduate programmes.
