LECTURERS YOU WILL MEET
Marco is an expert in international history and security. His
first book is on the mastermind behind the recruitment of
non-German Waffen-SS volunteers, while his second book
assesses the role of neutrality, arms transfers and Britain
in the Cold War. In addition, he has published extensively on
security issues, most notably on France's role in postcolonial
West Africa. In 2014, he was invited by the Foreign and
Commonwealth Office to brief the outgoing UK ambassador
to Côte d'Ivoire. He has also advised government ministries
abroad, and his analyses and comments have appeared in
international media outlets. His current research focuses on
the security roles of Britain and France in Africa during
the Cold War.
