E MOVED TO FRANCE ten years ago
to run a gîte and B&B business in the
Limousin. After a couple of years we
realised we were sitting down around
the dinner table each night with our
guests, giving them advice about how to buy in France.
When the opportunity to work with Leggett Immobilier came up,
we decided I should give it a try as a
part-time job to balance our B&B life.
Within a couple of months, the part-time job
was so much more rewarding and interesting that we
decided to make it full-time. Quite simply, we've never

new careers for ourselves. First of all we were in the
Limousin. Then, eighteen months ago, we moved to the
Côte d'Azur to spearhead Leggett's operation in the
South of France.
This has been a great move for us as a family. We
live in the hills outside Grasse and have a view down to

The weather is also a bonus: if it's grey one day, you
know it's going to be sunny and clear the next. It's vastly
different to our previous life in Norfolk!
The area is surprisingly affordable too. Of course,
there are the mega-expensive houses, but it's quite
surprising for anyone from the UK to find they can buy
a four-bedroomed villa, 25 minutes from Nice, in the
€400,000 to €650,000 price bracket. That's the cost of
a terraced house in the South of England. We are also
selling an apartment with sea views and within walking
distance of Cannes for €130,000. It's exceptional value.
The opportunities offered by Leggett Immobilier
have been fantastic for our family. When Trevor first
asked us if we would like to move here, we'd never even
visited this part of France. Now we love it. It's the best
move we've ever made!
Tim has a personal portfolio of around 150 properties for
sale. The average property price in the Alpes Maritimes is
€420,000 but Tim's portfolio ranges from apartments for
