rance has always been top of
many people's list because
of its affordability - combined with lifestyle
and easy
access - and the good news
is that it's still a great time to get a
bargain here. Your money simply
goes an awful lot further across
the Channel!
Whilst some people's budgets
have dropped a little to compensate for
the dip in sterling against
the euro, they can be cheered by
the fact that because vast chunks
of the French market have been
quite static for the last few years,
prices remain low. What's more
you can still borrow at those historically low
interest rates too.
But where best to buy? Our
agents would be able to find you
homes for €150,000 across all
areas of France - even a studio
apartment on the CÔte D'Azur or
in Paris - but your money will go
further in traditionally cheaper
areas such as the Central regions
of Auvergne, Limousin or maybe
Lower Normandy. But the less
highly populated parts of Brittany
and the Languedoc can be just as
affordable too.
For those of you who want to
be on the coast and are finding it
out of your budget, just heading
10 minutes drive away from a
coastal town, can be a rich hunting
ground for a great deal.
