C HR 10 Operations that have been subject to human rights reviews Total In UniCredit’s major countries of operations (19 countries),
we evaluated risks associated with our engagements,
using self-assessment questionnaires focused mainly on
human rights issues related to our employees. Moreover,
for those UniCredit countries that pose potentially higher
risks for human rights violations (nine countries), UniCredit
analyzed their overall environment (e.g., number of human
rights violations). In order to identify other potential risks
of violation, UniCredit assessed the regulatory landscape
and the most significant cases of international human
rights abuse that directly or indirectly involved banks.
