"St. Yrieix-la-Perche is in département 87. It sits at the
southernmost tip of the Haute-Vienne, close to the
borders of the Corrèze and the Dordogne, and is the
gateway to the Périgord-Limousin Regional Nature
Park. The town has a beautiful medieval quarter and
a thriving market, famous for its Cul Noir pork, Madeleine cakes,
AOC apples and its kaolin (used in the
manufacture of Limoges porcelain). There are many
delightful little hamlets close by and Limoges airport
is easy to get to."

Wherever you look you'll find a
great stock of all types of property with plenty of
land. Beware
though: grass grows quickly
here and someone has to mow
the lawn!
BURGUNDY
This is the region to buy in if
you fancy a vineyard - or a
property close to a vineyard
that you can use as your local
off-licence! Burgundy is one of
the most famous wine producing areas
in the world and the
landscape reflects this. Rolling
hills, covered in grapes and
pretty villages, host vineyards
you've never heard of; but
which produce some of the finest wines you
could ever taste.
Local knowledge is key here:
luckily our agents have this in
abundance.
AUVERGNE
Directly east of the Limousin
and famous for its volcanoes,
the Auvergne is another agricultural
region with a low density
of population and plenty of
room to breathe, relax and
enjoy life. If you're an outdoors
kind of person you should be
buying property here as you
can ski, snowboard, cycle, fish
or simply take country walks to
your heart's content. You'll pay
a premium to be close to Clermont Ferrand,
but prices in the
region are generally among the
lowest in France. The cheapest
ski properties in France can be
found in Mont-Dore.
