Soyez
prévenus !
"Sainte-Foy village, in the Tarentaise valley, is a
huge favourite of mine. This resort, unlike the
huge ski areas around it, is a real hidden gem.
There are just four lifts, which means the pistes
are safe, secure and ideal for families. The superb
location also means there is plenty of adrenalin-inducing
off-piste skiing available, including
the renowned north face of La Fogliettaz. In
short, Sainte-Foy has great accessibility to the bigger
world class resorts nearby (Val d'Isère, Tignes,
Les Arcs, La Rosière) and is the type of place that
offers a truly authentic Alpine atmosphere."

ONE TO WATCH
Alps, all of whom live and work
here and know their local areas
intimately. It's this kind of local
knowledge that pays dividends
for our clients and has enabled
us to be voted the 'Best Estate
Agent in France' for three years
running.
There are eight départements
in the Rhône-Alpes,
hence the very different landscapes and pricing levels.
You'll
pay a premium to be in, or close
to, a major city such as Lyon,
Annecy or Geneva. In general,
prices are highest in the HauteSavoie
and Rhône départements,
while the Ardèche and
Loire have the lowest prices.
This is because they are both to
the west of the region and further away
from the mountains
and specialist ski resorts.
Clearly most sales are within the resorts
themselves, but
we're finding an increasing demand for
the areas around the
lakes, such as Lac du Bourget,
Lac Léman and Lac d'Annecy.
These have the dual benefit of
easy access and being beautiful
in their own right.
Over the last 12 months
we have seen an increase in
interest from the domestic
French market. In Spring 2015
the Notaires de France said the
market had turned and sales
were steadily rising. This is
reflected in the demand we are
now seeing from both international and French
buyers. We
believe this demand will result
in a rise in prices over the coming 12 months. You
have been
warned!
