EXM® PSP Scanner
Digital Dental Radiography
Imaging System
Minimum Size. Maximum Performance.
This great new version of the popular Apixia CR Dental System
now offers you a more compact machine and amazing value!
Smaller size: 196mmx140mmx213mm (3.7kg)
Designed to use plates sizes 0, 1, 2 and 3 only, this offers first
opinion practices a handy and rapid processing system to add
to your dental suite.
Studies have shown that up to 50% of oral pathology can be
missed without X-ray examinations being part of the routine
assessment of the oral cavity.
In addition to using the right imaging processor - to undertake
useful dental radiography it is essential also that dedicated
dental X-ray equipment is used. Trying to use the standard
X-ray head is both difficult and pointless. The size of the focal
spot of the dental X-ray unit is 0.4mm and in a standard X-ray
head, up to 2.00mm. The geometry of the image is completely
destroyed by the large focus and the resolution of the 'dental' plates supplied
with some small animal systems, is less than 20% of a dedicated. In addition, the
dose required due to the increased focus to patient distance, is huge. Standard
positioning is almost impossible and therefore, not advised. (Dental X-ray units
are supplied as either wall mounted or mobile sets and are low maintenance
and very easy to operate. If you would like to discuss appropriate Dental X-ray
generators please call us 0800 068 3300)
The Apixia CR systems have a wider dynamic range than DR which
allows for image manipulation to obtain diagnostic images if the plate
is over or under exposed. CR offer a significant dose reduction over
analogue systems and images are typically visualised after 5-8 seconds.
Software enhancements and measuring tools allow very accurate
assessments during surgical procedures. Images from the CR
systems can be shared and sent as email attachments very easily.
Comes with Plates size 0-3
